THE EMERGENT SELF: FOUR STEPS TO TRANSFORMATION
Who are you? Are you really that person that you think you are? Start questioning this, because who you think you are is actually the sum of the conditioning you have been subject to over the years of your childhood, teenage years and adulthood. Begin to strip away these layers and you will see the authentic, empowered YOU.
Have you ever thought you were small, or less important than another person? Well that is pretty much everyone so I’m assuming that’s a yes. Well guess what, that thought is nothing but a belief that you have created about yourself. In truth, you are a divine spark of creation, empowered to manifest and create whatever you so dream in your life. It’s true, you can actually have it all, if you just realise how exactly to use your powers. Your MAGICAL POWERS!
Every thought we have manifests out into our reality. Make a list of 5 reoccurring thoughts that you have, every day. Now begin to notice inklings of these thoughts manifesting into the world that you are living in RIGHT NOW. I don't mean tomorrow, or yesterday, but NOW. You are so powerful that your thoughts are actually creating the reality that you are living in! Now what if you could transform those thoughts to be positive, empowered and in line with what you really want in life. Wow, wouldn't that be amazing! Well, now’s your time to start….
STEP ONE: MEDITATE….
Become an objective observer of your thoughts. Do this by learning to meditate. Meditation helps us to realise that aspect of ourselves that is nothing but a witness, an observer of our thoughts, our emotions, our body and the environment around us. When we start to master the practice of meditation, we no longer become reactive to our emotions, or other people. This takes practice, so BE PATIENT with yourself! Love the process that your in, because this is the best path you can follow, and I can assure you that the benefits are endless!
STEP TWO: CHALLENGE YOUR THOUGHTS & BELIEFS
As a witness to your thoughts, start to challenge them. When you see that you are in fact divine, and perfect in all your imperfections, notice any thoughts that are not self loving, or that ‘tell’ you that you are imperfect. Ask yourself, ‘where did these thoughts come from? They aren't from my true self, so I obviously learnt them from somewhere, or someone.’ It’s time to UNLEARN these thoughts by understanding where they came from and let them go! For example, when was the first time you were made to feel small in your life? Go back to that time and challenge it from a place of empowerment.
STEP THREE: FEEL YOUR EMOTIONS
As you begin to learn this process, you will notice that a lot of your negative beliefs about yourself are attached to events that happened in the past. These events are attached to emotional pain, and that pain need to be felt in order to be released and to move forward. So, its time to objectively feel that pain and let it go. You might cry, scream, shake, burp or yawn, there are so many ways that we release emotion. Allow it all to come through and to be felt. The best way to do this is through meditation, and if you feel you need some help dealing with these emotions consult a therapist to guide you.
STEP FOUR: WHAT'S THE MESSAGE?
Notice the message that is coming through after feeling into that emotion. Notice how when you release that emotion, it begins to move you forward in your life. The message might be, ’Go on, start that business, you totally can do that, and you will!’ or, 'Wow, I need to confront that person for what they did.' When we face and release our old beliefs and emotions, it instantaneously moves us into a new vibration of empowerment, love and excitement.
